The opening round of the 2025 Italian GT Sprint Championship at Vallelunga delivered a positive and encouraging debut for Vittorio Viglietti, who immediately proved competitive in one of the most crowded and demanding grids of the series.

Competing in the GT Cup Pro-Am class aboard the Lamborghini Huracán ST Evo II entered by DL Racing and shared with teammate Riccardo Ianniello, he took part in Qualifying 2, securing an impressive third place overall among more than thirty cars.

In Race 1, the duo converted their pace into a remarkable second place overall, stepping onto the podium in their first race of the season. Race 2 was made more challenging by the mandatory 12-second handicap applied at the pit stop following their podium result, yet they managed to secure a solid fifth place overall.

Looking back at the weekend, the debut can be considered highly positive. Viglietti showed strong racecraft, consistency and the ability to fight within the leading group. With important points now collected, attention shifts to the next round at Mugello, scheduled for July 11 to 13.

"It was a very positive weekend and I am especially happy to take a podium here at my home circuit", Vittorio said. "We put together solid work as a team, and the results reflect that. I want to thank DL Racing, my sponsors and everyone who makes this project possible. This is just the beginning, and I’m looking forward to continuing our progress at Mugello."

See you on track for the next race at Mugello!
