The final round of the 2025 Italian GT Sprint Championship took place on October 25–26 at the legendary Temple of Speed, the Monza circuit, bringing the season to a close in a decisive and dramatic weekend.

Competing in the GT Cup Pro-Am class aboard the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo II entered by DL Racing and shared with teammate Riccardo Ianniello, Vittorio Viglietti arrived at Monza with everything still to play for in the fight for the Italian title. In qualifying, he delivered an outstanding performance, securing second place overall with a lap time of 1:45.126, confirming strong pace and raising high expectations for the weekend.

Race 1 saw Ianniello take the start before handing the car over to Viglietti around mid-distance. Rejoining the race from third position, Viglietti produced two decisive and well-executed overtakes that allowed him to take the lead and move into first place. The race unfolded smoothly until the final lap, when an unexpected lack of fuel caused the car to stop abruptly, turning a seemingly assured victory into a heartbreaking retirement.

Sunday’s Race 2 offered a final opportunity for redemption. Viglietti started from second on the grid and, following a brief safety car period after an incident at the start, made a crucial overtake to take the lead. He managed the race at the front until the pit stop window, handing the car over to Ianniello, who maintained the lead and brought the Lamborghini to the chequered flag to secure an overall victory.

While the setback suffered on Saturday ultimately ruled the crew out of contention for the championship title, the well-deserved win in Race 2 sealed second place overall in the final standings. The Monza weekend highlighted the consistency and performance shown throughout the entire season, which, despite moments of misfortune, confirmed the strength of the driver pairing and the team.

Reflecting on the season, Vittorio stated:
"This brings to a close a challenging season, but one that also delivered many satisfactions. Finishing second in the championship in my overall racing debut is still a very positive result, especially after securing victory in Race 2. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this project: my sponsors, the team, my teammate Riccardo Ianniello, friends and family, my coach Alberto Di Folco and the Toofast Academy."

The 2025 season comes to an end with the certainty of having given everything in a debut year at this level, with full focus already shifting to 2026, carrying forward all the experience and lessons learned along the way.
